NYPD searching for group of men who pulled off several robberies in Jackson Heights and Elmhurst

Police are searching for a group of men who are believed to be involved in a series of robberies within the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst and the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights earlier this month.

In the first incident on Aug. 5 around 4 a.m., three men assaulted a 25-year-old man in front of 90-13 Roosevelt Ave. and took his cell phone, along with $380 in cash before fleeing in an unknown direction, police said.

The following morning, just after midnight in front of 89-45 Elmhurst Ave., a group of three to five men assaulted a 41-year-old man and took his wallet before taking off in an unknown direction.

The third incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the morning of Aug. 12 in front of 89-52 Elmhurst Ave., where two men assaulted an 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old man and made off with the teenager’s sneakers and cell phone. The assailants fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Authorities on Aug. 20 released video footage of the suspects, which was gathered from the last two incidents.
