A St. Albans man was shot and killed as he sat in a vehicle near JFK Airport just before 7 a.m. on Labor Day.
Police from the 106th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man shot in the vicinity of 132-10 South Conduit Ave. in South Ozone Park. When police arrived they discovered an unconscious man inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, police said.
EMS responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The NYPD later identified the victim as Jermaine Dixon, 47, of Mexico Street.
Investigators said Dixon was shot and killed as he sat in a Ford Edge and police are looking for the gunman who fled the crime scene in a white Nissan.
There have been no arrests and the investigation continues, police said.
