A Far Rockaway woman was killed and two others were injured when a motorist lost control of his car and crashed in Rosedale, near JFK Airport just before midnight Sunday.

Police from the 105th Precinct in Queens Village responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle collision at Rockaway Boulevard and Brookville Boulevard. The NYPD released her identity Monday afternoon as Brigitte Mercado of Mott Avenue. A 28-year-old man who was a front passenger was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation determined that a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on Rockaway Boulevard when it struck a curb at Brookville Boulevard, resulting in the vehicle smashing into a metal fence at the location, police said.
