Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are on the lookout for a masked gunman who robbed a Seneca Avenue smoke shop on Sunday night.

The suspect entered the store located at 816 Seneca Ave. at the corner of Cornelia Street just after 11 p.m. and pulled out a handgun, and held it close to his chest to hide it from a customer while demanding money from the worker behind the counter. The worker complied and the gunman fled the shop with $250 in cash and hemp-based CBD products, police said.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect as he held up the smoke shop, taking his eye off the store employee to check out the CBD products on the counter. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a black face covering and a black hooded sweatshirt. He also wore a blue backpack.

Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspects is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at nypdcrimestoppers.com, or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
