Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are looking for a man who broke into a Myrtle Avenue shoe store on the morning of Saturday, July 27, and made off with merchandise and cash.

The suspect removed a lock of the basement gate of Fabco Shoes located at 54-16 Myrtle Ave. just after 7:30 a.m.

Once inside, the man picked up an orange Fabco shopping bag and began to fill it with numerous bags and wallets of the store’s shelves, police said. He also took a cash register containing $65 in cash before taking off in an unknown direction.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the incident Wednesday that shows the suspect stuffing the orange tote bag with the merchandise. He has short hair and a beard and wore a blue T-shirt, dark shorts, and orange NIKE sneakers.
