NYPD searching for man who stole over $3,000 from Rego Park smoke shop

The NYPD is searching for a suspect wanted in connection with a commercial robbery at a Rego Park smoke shop on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

According to police, an unidentified man entered the Howard News Vape and Smoke Shop — located at 97-15 Queens Blvd., within the confines of the 112th Precinct — at approximately 12:10 a.m. on Oct. 26. Once inside, the man displayed a knife and took $3,500 from the cash register before fleeing the scene.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident, police said.

Authorities say the man is believed to be in his 30s and has a medium complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers, black gloves and a multi color face mask.
