The NYPD is still looking for three armed carjackers who allegedly kidnapped a motorist on a Flushing street before releasing him in Nassau County in October.

Police from the 109th Precinct are searching for the three suspects who struck twice during the morning of Monday, Oct. 24, beginning in Beechhurst just after 1 a.m.

A 43-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle near the intersection of Totten Street and Utopia Parkway alongside the Clearview Park Golf Course when two gunmen pulled up behind him, banged in his window, and demanded he get out of his car, police said. The men attempted to take his vehicle but were unable to start it as they took the victim’s cellphone and a backpack before driving off. There were no injuries and the value of the stolen property is around $4,315, according to the NYPD.

Later that same morning, a 42-year-old man was in a 2018 Honda Pilot in the vicinity of 35th Avenue and 146th Street in Flushing at 6 a.m., when a vehicle pulled up behind him and three men got out and tapped the victim’s window with handguns. The suspects proceeded to drag him out of his car; put a plastic bag over his head and zip-tied his hands while demanding his money, police said.

After driving around with the victim inside his vehicle, he complied and told them where they could find his cash inside his home, according to authorities. The suspects then drove him to an unknown location on Long Island, where they removed the zip-ties and drove off in the man’s vehicle with one of the gunmen following in the second car.

The amount of cash that was taken from the victim’s residence is unknown and he refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

His vehicle was recovered back in the 109th Precinct on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects and described them as approximately 25 to 30 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
