Department of Correction employee busted in Jamaica for texting ex-wife, violating order of protection: NYPD

A city Department of Correction employee was busted for sending his ex-wife text messages despite an order of protection she filed against him.

A city employee was arrested by police in Jamaica on Thursday morning after allegedly violating an order of protection against him, according to the NYPD.

Department of Corrections employee Amin Ahmmad, 44, was taken into custody just after 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 13. 

Police say that Ahmmad allegedly persisted in sending his ex-wife text messages in violation of a temporary order of protection she had filed against him.

Ahmmad was charged with criminal contempt.
