Douglaston Community Theatre putting on performances of ‘Love, Loss and What I Wore’ Feb. 17-26

The Douglaston Community Theatre will be putting on performances of the award-winning play “Love, Loss and What I Wore” Fridays and Saturdays from Feb. 17-25 and Feb. 26 at the Zion Episcopal Church Parish Hall.

Based on the 1995 book by Ilene Beckerman, the production will be directed by Linda Hanson.

The play consists of monologues by five women relating to various subjects, including relationships, wardrobes and the interactions between the two.

The original play was written by Nora and Delia Ephron. The cast for this series of performances includes Annette Daiell, Sherry Mandery, Barbara Mavro, Jocelyn Weston and Ginger Witt.

There will be shows at 8 p.m. on Feb. 17, Feb. 18, Feb. 24 and Feb. 25. Additionally, there will be a 2 p.m. show on Feb. 18 and Feb. 26.

The Zion Episcopal Church Parish Hall, where the play will occur, is located at 243-20 Church St., off of Douglaston Parkway.

Tickets for the event are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors and students. It is recommended that reservations be made for the shows people want to attend.
