Ridgewood Savings Bank (RSB) will be doing its part this Earth Day, April 22, by growing its eco-conscious “Free Green Checking” product, which has resulted in 1,800 trees being planted across America by the global reforestation organization, One Tree Planted.
Free Green Checking is what RSB calls a thoroughly green way to bank. For every new Free Green Checking account opened in 2023, RSB donates to One Tree Planted to have a tree planted in the U.S. National Forest.

RSB will also participate in a community cleanup at Kennedy Park in Hicksville on Saturday, April 29. Bank employees are further proving their dedication to the environment by volunteering to beautify the local park at Jerusalem Avenue and Broadway, an event sponsored by a Nassau County legislator on Long Island.
