Congresswoman Grace Meng is inviting residents to attend two upcoming events she will be hosting: a Constituent Services Fair and a Veterans Information Session.

“I am pleased to organize these two important events and I encourage local residents and area veterans to attend,” Meng said. “It is crucial to ensure that all are aware of the services, benefits and resources they can receive. I thank the Department of Veterans Affairs and all of the participating agencies for partnering with me to make this information easily accessible to those in our borough.”

The Constituent Services Fair will provide area residents with information and resources directly from federal and local government agencies so that they can learn and take advantage of the services available to them. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at the St. James Parish House, 84-13 Broadway in Elmhurst

Agencies that are confirmed include the U.S. Postal Service, Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, U.S. Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Centers, Con Edison and more to come.

The Veterans Information Session will provide Queens veterans with information about veterans benefits and how veterans can take advantage of the PACT Act, the new law that Meng helped pass which expands health care and benefits to veterans exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances.

The event will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, at Maspeth Town Hall, 53-37 72nd St. It will include a presentation and question and answer session by Mike Frueh, principal deputy under Secretary for Benefits at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Those seeking to attend should RSVP to Meng.RSVP@mail.house.gov.
