Brooklyn cop busted after family dispute in the confines of the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows: NYPD

An off-duty Brooklyn cop was arrested early Monday morning and booked for assault at the 107th Precinct in Fresh Meadows, according to the NYPD.

Police Officer Harry Espinal, 34, who works out of the 88th Precinct in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn, was arrested following a brawl with a member of his family, according to an NYPD spokesperson, who made it clear that the incident was not a domestic dispute. The spokesperson said she could not provide further detail on the incident that led to the officer’s arrest.

Espinal is an eight-year veteran of the NYPD and has no disciplinary history against him within the department, according to NYPD Online.

In addition to the assault charge, Espinal was also hit with a criminal mischief charge, according to the NYPD.
