Ridgewood store sells prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000

A prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Ridgewood store on Saturday, Sept. 23.

The New York Lottery announced Sunday, Sept. 24, that there were seven third-prize Powerball tickets in total sold in Albany, Center Moriches, Clifton Park, Great Neck, Ridgewood, Troy and Valley Stream.

The Ridgewood winning ticket was sold at the YZ 99 Cents Store, located at 817 Seneca Ave.

Other third-prize winning tickets, worth $50,000, were sold at The Depot/New Smithhaven Smoke, located at 1136 Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream; Wolf Road Mobil, located at 88 Wold Road, in Albany; Main Street Marc Inc, located at 230 Main St. in Center Moriches; Stewart’s Shops #127, located at 454 Route 146 in Clifton Park; Twiggs Convenience & Smoke Inc., located at 639 Middle Neck Rd. in Great Neck; and Cumberland Farms #1585, located at 505 Campbell Ave. in Troy.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
