New York Croons For Christmas: Colm Reilly & Friends in Concert

 

Hosted by Colm Reilly, “New York Croons for Christmas” is back this year with a lineup that features singers like Kathy Kaefer, Wendy Lance Bailey, Carolyn Montgomery, singer-songwriter Jeanne MacDonald and “The Life of Reilly Band.” (New York Irish Center, 1040 Jackson Ave., Long Island City. 7 to 10 p.m. Admission: $65.87)

 

2023 BrickHouse Ceramics Holiday Craft Show

 

Come and interact with over 30 ceramic artists who will be showcasing their handmade pottery for sale at this 14th annual crafts show, along with the third annual student show. This show will run from Dec. 8-10 at varying times. (BrickHouse Ceramic Art Center, 10-34 44th Dr., Long Island City. 5 to 9 p.m. Admission: Free)

 

Saturday, Dec. 9

 

Christmas Grand Market 2023

 

Join the Caribbean Christmas Exhibition and morning service, a long-standing tradition featuring food and craft vendors, music, dance and drama performances, as well as competitions for all ages with prizes. Special guest, Meecah, will be present at the event, along with the Junkanoo Parade and the Brata Folk Singers. Celebrate Christmas With Peace, Joy and Love: Concert

Join in on a fun afternoon in which the community will come together for musical performances from performers who will breathe some life back into the classic holiday favorites, including “The Nutcracker” and “Messiah,” and popular holiday songs. (Astoria Branch Library, 14-01 Astoria Blvd., Astoria. 3 to 4 p.m. Admission: Free)

 

Sunday, Dec. 10

 

Astoria Holiday Market Shopping Event

 

On Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, the Astoria Market holiday shopping event is full of diverse vendors who will be displaying jewelry, handbags, toys, clothing, stationery, chocolates, scarves and hats, pottery and much more. All are welcome to join in this festive event, where guests can also enjoy a variety of homemade soups, platters, eggnog, and other holiday favorites from Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden’s “Grandma Kitchen menu.” (Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, Main Hall, 29-19 24th Ave., Astoria. Noon to 6 p.m. Admission: Free)

 

Family Holiday Celebration at the Castle


Families are welcomed to this festive occasion designed especially for the little ones. The event will feature seasonal crafts and snacks, games, storytelling, music and a visit to Santa Claus, all within the holiday decked-out castle of the Bayside Historical Society. (Bayside Historical Society, 208 Totten Ave., Bayside. 2 to 5 p.m. Admission: $5 for children, $10 for adults)
