The Bayside Business Association (BBA) is bringing Matthew Goerke, a self-proclaimed American ‘Memory Master’, to their first networking event of the year.

Goerke believes that there’s no such thing as a bad memory, only an untrained one. He developed the “Memory Switch” program to train business professionals in developing their instant recall memory and applying it to their career ventures.

He’s worked with thousands of business people, seniors and students over the past three decades, according to his website. Some of his past business clients include executives from AT&T, Wells Fargo, Prudential and Exxon. He’s also worked with government agencies such as the United States Postal Service and the Department of Defense.

The event will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18 at Bourbon Street on Bell Blvd. in Bayside. Those who register in advance will receive a discounted rate that starts at $75 for members of the BBA, and $85 for nonmembers. Those interested can register online

The BBA organizes several networking events throughout the year to connect business owners in the community and provide them with resources and support. With dozens of members today, it has continued to grow steadily since its inception in 1997.
