A new mobile farmer’s market aimed at improving access to healthy food and preventive healthcare debuts today at the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center in Jamaica.
The Fresh Vibes Mobile Farmer’s Market, a joint initiative between the Addabbo Health Center and The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH), will launch at 1:30 p.m. at 114-39 Sutphin Blvd. The program is designed to bring affordable, locally grown produce and health engagement opportunities directly to underserved communities in Southeast Queens and Brooklyn.
The health center is offering patients who complete their annual physicals or health screenings a $25 Fresh Vibes voucher, which can be redeemed for fresh fruits and vegetables at the mobile market. The event also features cooking demonstrations, nutrition education and one-on-one benefits counseling.

Open to all community members and Addabbo staff, the mobile market sources produce from TCAH’s urban farms and local suppliers. It accepts a range of payment options including EBT, WIC, FMNP checks, Health Bucks, cash, debit and credit.
The Jamaica site will also host return visits on June 19 and July 17, with market hours from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Fresh Vibes Market is also scheduled to appear at additional Addabbo locations, including Red Hook, Brooklyn (May 22) and Arverne and Far Rockaway (May 29).
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the Addabbo Health Center provides comprehensive, value-based care including medical, dental, behavioral health and social support services to residents in Jamaica, Rockaway and Brooklyn, regardless of ability to pay.
