Landscaping, nursery and tree care contractors The Dragonnetti Brothers – who planted the first tree in Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Million Trees program – planted a Zelkova tree in front of The Queens Courier entrance on Bell Boulevard in Bayside. Steven Aiello, field inspector for the Dragonnetti Brothers and Hill International, is pleased that trees are making a comeback in Queens. “Everyone seems to be happy that trees are coming back, especially after the storm.” The September 16 tornados that claimed thousands of trees in the borough are in the process of being replanted by various contractors across Queens.
