Among the many improvements that have been made to Belmont Park is the new infield tote board.

Additionally, two Sunspot matrix and two ProStar monitors will be on the infield, and along with the new tote board, fans will have better viewing of races in progress, updated information and instant access to other in-house images.
Brick pavers have been installed on the entire front apron. the 70,000 square feet of brick paving replaces the asphalt and makes for a more comfortable and aesthetic setting. Approximately 700 new, cast-aluminum benches were added to the apron as well, and the Backyard Area has been enhanced with new picnic and umbrella tables.
Fans can also appreciate the two mutuel bays that have been renovated on the first floor, grandstand. last year, fans were polled on who they considered the top racing participants of the past century. Photos of some of these racing legends will be displayed on the valance of the grandstand mutuel bays.
"Belmont park is one of the great tracks, with
a strong history," Meyocks said. "By displaying some of the great horses, trainers and jockeys, we hope to establish a connection with the past and the current generation of New Yorks racing fans. And, by opening up the bays, we believe fans will have a better, friendlier interaction with our mutuel clerks."
the old "whiteboards," where a person would write the days results and prices, have been modernized. New, electronic boards have been installed on the first floor, grandstand and third floor, clubhouse.
Among other changes is a new awning for the clubhouse entrance and the installation of approximately 1,200 feet of chain-link fence at trackside.
Belmonts popular marquee Village Tent, which plays hosts to weddings, graduations, anniversaries, birthdays and other big celebrations has gotten a new air conditioning and heating unit, while 128 new individual televisions have been added in the Garden Terrace Dining room.
On the backstretch, new roofs have been placed on several barns and five cottages. Approximately 2.5 miles of PVC white vinyl fencing has been erected to replace the old, wooden fencing, and several barns received new siding under the windows.
