DAC Pony League
Exxon at Baybridge D-Rays 2, Estates Animal Hospital Yankees 2. The D-Rays and Yankees tied 2-2 in a game featuring a 10-strikeout performance for Ricky Honya of the Rays. Adam Greenfield, Jason Waters, John Mirabella and Poter Kim also had some big hits. The Yankees got a solid game from Anthony Abruzzo on the mound and offense from Joe Mariani, Joe Brent and Eric Fox.
Exxon Baybridge D-Rays 10, DePhillips Sports Mets 9. The D-Rays upset the Mets 10-9 behind Adam Greenfield’s great pitching and key hits by Marc Saks, Jack Eichenger, Steve Memis and John Mirabella. The Mets got a solid pitching performance from Chris Muniz, and big hits by Frank Lorriggio, Jay Minella and Tom Hubany. Chris Guzman made some great catcher in the outfield.
Neil Vallins PDS Cardinals 14, Exxon at Baybridge D-Rays 8. The Cardinals defeated the D-Rays 14-8 behind the pitching of Chris Lynch, Sean Redican and David Vallins. Julie Fontaine made a spectacular outfield catch. The D-Rays got a fire effort from Marc Sacks on the mound and good all around play from Zane Zdatny, B.J. Shrattner, Jared Scheinderman and Ricky Honya.
Reif Park Rangers 11, OLBS Dodgers 10. The Rangers nipped the Dodgers 11-10 behind the pitching of Ian Leisenheimer, Travis Swiatocha and Matt Bulger. Irving Della Concha and Mike Cavataio had key hits, OLBS was led by David Giancola and Vinny Pino on the mound with key hits by Nick Occhiogrosso, Chris Califano and Chris Ashworth.
DePhillips Sports Mets 11, Reif Park Rangers 1. The Mets rolled over the Rangers 11-1 behind Christian Muniz’s complete game and the timely hitting of Andrew and Chris Pagnozzi, Thomas Hubany and Anthony Ronzino. For the Rangers, Matt Buloger, Brian Lavelle and Irving Della Concha had solid games at bat and in the field.

Joseph Brent, Joey Mariani and Matt Larotunda supplied the offense. The Rangers got solid pitching from Mike Caveteio and Timely hits from Irving della Concha, Nicky Morgenstern and Steve Jandowitz.
Estates Animal Hospital Yankees 13, DePhillips Sports Mets 3. The Yankees knocked off the previously unbeaten Mets 13-3 behind Matt Larotunda’s 13 K’s and big hits from Joey Mariani, Eric Fox, Brian O’Connor and Steve Airasian. Ian Blader pitched well in defeat with hits by Thomas Hubany, Chris Muniz and Frank Lorrigio. Chris Guzman and Joe Passerella played well defensively.
Reif Park Rangers 14, Neil Vallins, DDS Cardinals 13. The Rangers outlasted the Cardinals 14-13. Ian Leisenheimer, Irving della Concha and Mike Cavatelo pitched well with good offense by Matt Bulger and Travis Swiatocha. The Cardinals got solid pitching from Chris Lynch and Evan Lash and Timely hits from Julien Fontaine, Mike Granato and Adam Mustafa.
DAC Texas League
Caffe on the Green A’s defeated St. Roberts No. 9. After rainouts in recent weekends both teams players and parents enjoyed a well-played game and the fine baseball weather.
Leading the A’s hit squad were Julie Wagner Jesse Bagell, Ben Margolin, Tyler Portolin and Dylan Goodman, whose at-bats draw the attention and cheers of everyone.
Daniel Pazanin, Mac Crook, Mike Zirpoli and Angelo Rovetto also provided defensive support. Special mention goes to James Cazzola whose always smiling face was as bright as the sun after his four hit day.
St. Roberts whole team played well with excellent at-bats by Angela Polloni, Joey Riccardo, Megan Einersen and Thomson Phung. Defensive stars for the team were Eliot Geller, Kelly Homenick Christine Pipia and Samantha Kosentino.
Cafe on the Green A’s 13, Mattone Reality Bluejays 8. In one of their best defensive performances of the season, the A’s held off a strong Bluejays offense for the win.
For the A’s, some of the outstanding plays on the field were turned in by Tyler Portolatin, Daniel Pazanin and Jesse Bagel along with the sure gloves of Mike Zirpoli and Max Goodrich at first.
Offensive muscle came off the bats of Dylan Goodman, Angelo Rovetto, Julie Wagner and Ben Margolin who went 3-for-3 with four RBIs.
The Bluejays entire line-up cracked with key at bats by Matthews Schwarts, Brandon Rosenblum and Andrew Dublin. Not to be outdone, defensive gems were turned in by the gloves of Ethan Widowsky, Walter Bonne and Matthew Mattone fielding his position well at pitchers mound.
