The Queens County Overall Economic Development Corporation will hold a sumptuous celebration of culinary diversity in their first ever “Queens —A Taste of the World” event to be held at the Diamond Club at Shea Stadium on April 29 from 6:30
Allow your palate to roam the world via a delectable melange of gastronomic sensations provided by some of the finest dining establishments and food purveyors in Queens County. Then — you be the judge. Cast your ballot for the best of Queens eats in the following categories: Best Appetizer, Best Entree, Best Dessert, and Best Beverage. Queens Borough President Helen Marshall will present the Queens Borough Eating Adventure Awards 2003 to the winners.
Some of the participating restaurants/food purveyors to date are: Dazies, Durso’s Pasta & Ravioli Co., Erawan, Fresh Direct, Gran Pan de Queso, India Corner, London Lennies, Natives, Philly’s Smoke House, 39 East, Claudine’s at Holiday Inn JFK, Laterna, Luigi’s, Pappazio, Peter’s Market, Rockaway Sunset Diner, Tequila Sunrise of Bayside, Restaurant Associates/Select Service Partner/Thompson Hospitality, Manhattan Beer Distributors and Charmer Industries.
Funds raised will support QCOEDC’s programs and services that provide a broader access to economic opportunity for all businesses and residents of Queens.
