JOB: The community of Rochdale Village, in Jamaica, is trying to create a formal organization to inspire a change in the management of Rochdale Village, the 2nd largest coop association in the country.
FAMILY: “I am very family oriented and I believe that the Rochdale Village community is an extension of my family.”
CAREER GOAL: To continue to “service my clients and give them a sense of financial literacy.” There are a lot of benefits available from the enormous amount of economic development that has taken place in the greater Jamaica area.
FAVORITE MEMORY: “Being there for my mom in her last days and letting her know through and through that she was loved and that there was nothing I wouldn’t do for her,” was an experience very dear to me.
BIGGEST CHALLENGE: The removal of corrupt parties in management and the Board of Directors at Rochdale Village. “A lot of things going on in Rochdale need to stop and I plan on seeing them through.”
INSPIRATION: My family has been a tremendous inspiration to me. Also when I hear Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches or Malcolm X and the countless other social activists I admire and respect, something happens within me. I feel like their words are the blood that’s running through my veins and I can’t help but provide a voice for the voiceless.
