Edward A. Vallone Sr.

Edward A. Vallone Sr., “Big Ed,” passed away on May 22. He was 83 years old.
Founder, former owner and president of Pioneer Bus Corp. of Brooklyn and Staten Island, Vallone served in the U.S. Marine Corps. during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mae Vallone; daughter Linda DeSabato, owner, Vallo Transportation, which traces its origins to Vallone; sons Edward A. Vallone and Philip E. Vallone; daughters-in-law; and four grandchildren. A funeral was held at Harris Funeral Home in Roscoe, New York. Burial with military honors was in the Riverview Cemetery.
