Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts Moves Forward

Following the recent passing of former Flushing Town Hall president Lucy Nunziato, executive and artistic director Harvey Seifter was let go because his services were no longer needed.
The Flushing Council on Culture and the Arts will move forward with its events schedule, including its upcoming annual gala to be held on Saturday, December 9, from 6 to 11 p.m. The black-tie gala in the Great Hall in Flushing Town Hall will feature Cabaret stars Mark Nadler and K.T. Sullivan celebrating the music of Cole Porter.
Awards will be presented to honorees including New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn; Harold Closter, the director of the affiliations program at the Smithsonian Institution; Peter Koo, president of Starside Drugs and Flushing Chinese Business Association; and Mark Pucci, the vice president of development for the Westfield Corporation.
