Environment was discussed

At the meeting of the Jefferson Democratic Club of Flushing, Inc. on Thursday, April 5, Councilmember James Gennaro (right) spoke about environmental issues facing New York City. Gennaro told club members and Club President John Frank (left) about budget issues, the purchasing of land to protect the NYC drinking water supply, green buildings proposals, and the Mayor’s sustainability challenges and goals for NYC through the year 2030. The meeting was held at the Auburndale American Legion Hall, located at 198-09 33rd Avenue.
