Forest Hills HS students meet Senators

Senators Serphin Maltese (left) and John Sabini (2nd from left) recently met with a group of Forest Hills High School students to speak with them about government and politics in New York. The discussion was filmed by Sara Benyaminova (3rd from left), host of the Time Warner cable television talk show “Rebeca’s Torch,” for an episode to be aired in June. The students asked Sabini and Maltese about why they chose their parties and the State Senate, how young people can get involved in the political process and how the State Legislature affects education.
