Flat Tire Scam

Police arrested a 65-year-old man and a 35-year-old man for allegedly stealing $2,000 from a victim who had a flat tire.
The incident occurred at Northern Boulevard and the Douglaston Parkway when the victim realized his tire had gone flat. The suspects allegedly approached and asked to help, at which time they used force and took the man’s money.
Francisco Rodriguez and Donald Fernandez have been taken into custody, and police are searching for a third suspect.
