Charity event to honor publisher

One of Long Island’s most active organizations, Long Island Elite will honor Schneps Publications publisher and CEO Victoria Schneps-Yunis as the Mentor of the Year during its upcoming Great Gatsby Masquerade on Thursday, June 14.
Long Island Elite was founded in 2002 to assist with the growth and development of business professionals under the age of 40 who are emerging business leaders. It does this through mentoring, community outreach and professional networking.
The event will help the organization celebrate its fifth anniversary while also supporting local charities. The evening will include flapper girls, airbrush body art, a casino, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, entertainment, prizes and more.
Funds will be raised for charities such as Education and Assistance Corporation, Life’s WORC, National Foundation for Human Potential, and the Coalition Against Child Abuse and Neglect. Some proceeds will also benefit Pet Peeves, The Children’s Miracle Network, Nassau Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Along with honoring Schneps-Yunis, who publishes The Queens Courier, HealthWise, El Correo de Queens and Queens Business Today, past honorees will be recognized. Cameron Advertising, Henry and Carolyn Weber of Re/Max of New York, Gian Lucca Flore of Fendi North America, Thomas J.
