Looking for a way to cool down during the summer heat? Then keep an eye out for one of the three Time Warner Cable ice pop trucks that will be traveling around Queens neighborhoods raising money to benefit the Food Bank of NYC.
The ice pops only cost a quarter (a suggested donation) and come in orange, apple and grape flavors. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of these ice pops through August 9 will be donated to the Food Bank charity.
If you are hosting a party or a backyard barbecue, you can just call 1-877-TWC-POPS and one of the ice pops trucks will visit your affair and help your guests cool off.
These ice pop trucks, which look like police scooters with a trunk, and which are actually called “Bob Cars,” are available on a first come, first serve basis. The trucks will be available to attend block parties through August 9. Neighborhood groups, non-profit organizations and anyone hosting a public event can call.
