Joseph R. Martini

Joseph R. Martini, a longtime resident of Astoria, passed away on September 4. He was 91 years old.
Martini was born in New York City on April 12, 1916 to the late Giuseppe and Maria (Cipriano) Mondello.
He was a private investigator who founded “Public Investigation Service” in New York City over 40 years ago.
He was predeceased by his wife Mary (Mimnaugh) who died in 1989. He is survived by two children, his son Joseph Martini of New Rochelle and Rosemary Cioffi of Bayside; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by the Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle. A funeral Mass was held at Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church. Interment was at St. Raymond’s Cemetery.
