Caring Calls – The Older Adult Office of the Samuel Field Y announces the expansion of the community service program called “Caring Calls.” The program is designed to provide services for seniors, by seniors. Caring Calls invites seniors who are lonely and in need of companionship or need a helping hand with paperwork, errands or doctor visits. Also invites seniors who are interested in making a difference in the lives of older, frail seniors. Volunteers, who will receive an hourly stipend, will spend several hours a week helping older, more frail seniors with companionship, simple chores such as food shopping, sorting mail, and going for a walk or escorting to medical appointments.
