Students at Martin Luther High School (MLHS) recently collected toys, school supplies, toiletries, personal notes and other items and packed them into 52 shoeboxes in support of Operation Christmas Child - a mission of Samaritan’s Purse.
The boxes were then distributed to millions of children around the world living in desperate circumstances and in desperate need of hope. Samaritan’s Purse is a Christian relief and evangelism organization led by Franklin Graham.
Students at MLHS participate in a variety of outreach programs each year, including a canned food drive, coat collection and gently-used book drive. The school’s weekly chapel funds are also used to support missions at home and throughout the world.
