Above the boardwalk
Police discovered a way-out-of-the-way “love shack” atop the Carey Gardens apartments Thursday when they found two men pleasuring each other on the roof of one of the buildings, officials said.
According to police and published reports, cops from the 60th Precinct were called to the building, located near the corner of West 23rd Street and Neptune Avenue, at 10 p.m. on March 27, on a report that someone had been seen on the roof, ignoring the “no trespassing” signs that are clearly posted.
When they reached the roof, responding officers found a 46-year-old man and an 18-year-old male friend in an uncompromising position, officials said.
Both were charged with public lewdness and criminal trespass, officials said.
Goon gas up
A brutal thug attacked a 70-year-old Sheepshead Bay gas station attendant during a recent robbery, cops said this week.
The victim said that he was working at the filling station, located at 2001 Gravesend Neck Road, at 9:20 p.m. on March 30 when an unidentified black male walked into the station and flashed a gun.
The thief reportedly pistol-whipped the attendant when the plucky senior put up a fight and fled the station with $200 in receipts.
No serious injuries were reported, officials said.
Banking on fears
Cops are looking for a 35-year-old thief who robbed a Capital One bank in Bensonhurst last week with a threatening note.
Workers at the bank, located at 2150 86th Street, said that the thief, described only as a black male, entered the bank just before 2 p.m. on March 28 and handed over a scribbled piece of paper reading: “I have a gun. Pass me 100s and 50s. I don't want to shoot anyone.”
Witnesses told police that the thief kept his hand in his pocket, as if he had a gun.
Believing the note, the teller handed the thief $1000, which he stuffed in his pocket before fleeing the bank.
The thief was last seen heading eastbound on 86th Street toward the Bay Parkway station.

Not so slow
An 18-year-old thief was arrested last week after he tried to hijack a man's bag while on a train rumbling through Bensonhurst, police alleged.
Police said that the victim was on an N train approaching the 20th Avenue station just before 5 a.m. on March 25 when the suspect, identified as Michael Slow, allegedly tried to rip the 51-year-old man's knapsack off his shoulder.
Slow allegedly fled the train at the 20th Avenue station, only to be apprehended a short time later by responding police officers and charged with robbery.
On guard for guard dogs
A thief broke into a Sheepshead Bay home last week, but made sure that he didn't venture past the bedroom he crawled into.
If he opened the door, he might have come face to face with the pit bull that was roaming the halls of the East 29th Street home, residents told cops this week.
The victim, 62, told police that the thief crawled into the second-floor bedroom through a window alongside the home, located near Voorhies Avenue, sometime after 2 a.m. on March 29.
The made off with $2000 in jewelry, but decided not to scout out the rest of the home – for obvious reasons.
Police were still looking for the thief as this paper went to press.
Taxing times
Three thieves are being sought for robbing a 14-year-old boy after claiming that he had to “pay a tax” for entering a 21st Avenue apartment building.
The victim said that he entered the building near 84th Street at 9 a.m. on March 25 when the three thugs, described as 17-year-old white males, approached and asked him where he lived.
When he said that he didn't live in the building, the thieves said that he had to pay a tax. They then held the younger teen down and robbed him of $11 his school ID and some electronics.
No serious injuries were reported.

Nabbed rolling away
A 21-year-old alleged mugger was arrested after a recent gunpoint heist in Bensonhurst, but not because of the robbery.
Instead, cops initially nabbed him for his very poor driving record, which included five suspensions, when they caught him driving along Shore Parkway, police said.
It wasn't until after cops pulled Robbie Evans over for a traffic infraction and charged him with driving on a suspended license when they allegedly discovered that he resembled a thief who robbed a 51-year-old man inside a Shore Parkway building near 20th Avenue.
The victim alleged that Evans had followed him into the building at 10 p.m. on March 25 and pulled a gun on him, demanding that he hand over his property.
Evans allegedly fled the building empty handed, officials said.
