OZONE PARK — A St. Albans teen was arrested last week after allegedly robbing three people, the Queens district attorney said.
Diasia Swanson, of 191−23 Murdock Ave., was charged with robbery and attempted robbery on Feb. 24, according to the DA. Swanson, 17, and an unapprehended, unidentified person, allegedly accosted the three people as they were walking around 101st Avenue and 153rd Street on Feb. 12, around 7 p.m., according to the criminal complaint.
The teen punched one victim by the throat and demanded the pedestrian give up her cell phone, while her alleged accomplice grabbed her by the throat, the complaint said. Swanson allegedly removed the phone from the victim’s pocket and stole cash and a passport from a second victim’s’s purse, according to the DA.
Swanson and the unapprehended person allegedly ran after the third victim who tried to escape the mugging, according to the complaint.
