The Garden School, an independent academic institution at 33-16 79th Street in Jackson Heights whose beliefs and culture affirm the primacy of learning, hosted a Women’s History Month celebration on Tuesday, March 24, with special guest Councilmember Jessica Lappin. She met with students and spoke about the importance of giving back to the community. Lappin also met with an assembly of upper division children to discuss women in politics and later read to the younger students.
