ROCKAWAY BEACH — Police said two suspects were taken into custody after a 28-year-old man was shot in the head on Newport Avenue early Sunday morning.
Police said a 28-year-old man remained in critical condition at Jamaica Hospital Tuesday after suffering a gunshot wound to the head at approximately 3:35 a.m. Police responded to a call of a man shot and found the man, whose identity was not released, unconscious but alive.
EMS officials immediately rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he remained Tuesday. Police said two suspects were taken into custody and the investigation was ongoing, but offered no further details.
