Mets say Flushing’s a winner

The New York Mets know a winner when they see one – so they’re hosting “Flushing Community Night” at Citi Field on Friday, August 14.

Starting at 6:35 p.m., prior to the 7:10 p.m. game against the San Francisco Giants, Taste of the City in Center Field will honor and highlight Flushing’s history, culture and civic pride.

The Mets are having the promotional night in association with the Flushing Business Improvement District and the Downtown Flushing Marketing Task Force.

“Flushing Night” will feature performances by the New York Korean Traditional Marching Band and David Ostwald’s Gully Low Jazz Band, followed by a pre-game award ceremony.

The “Mets Amazin’ Cow” from the Flushing CowParade will be on display on the Field Level concourse in Left Field.

Tables featuring information about Restaurant Week special discount dinner offerings, the “Jazz Trail” promoted by Flushing Town Hall and other great events happening in Flushing will be set up throughout the Citi Field concourses.

Flushing Community Night is a guaranteed hometown home run.
