Your editorial on the Democratic primary (“TimesLedger Democratic Primary Endorsements in Citywide Races,” Queens Village Times, Sept. 3) was informative and helpful, but I take exception to your endorsement of City Councilman John Liu (D-Flushing) for city comptroller.
He is good for the Asian community, but he does not seem to handle other community needs well. Given his handling of anything that concerns the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, he is a failure.
The MTA has been steadily declining as to its ability to operate. It cannot manage the resources it has and is operating in the red all the time.
How does Liu’s prior working as an actuary in an accounting firm matter?
