ASTORIA — Police are asking for the public’s help to find a musician’s missing brass instruments.
On Aug. 24 around 3:30 a.m., the 29-year-old musician was traveling on an N train starting at the 57th Street station, police said. He allegedly fell asleep and woke up as the train approached the Ditmars Boulevard station only to discover that his black Reunion Blues triple trumpet case and two instruments were stolen, according to police.
Inside the bag were an Inderbinen Swiss-made flugelhorn and Bach Stradivarius trumpet, both of which cost thousands of dollars.
