FLUSHING — An Astoria man was busted by a pair of FBI agents as he broke into a parked car in Flushing last week, the Queens district attorney said.
At 9:30 p.m. Dec. 9 on 137th Street near 29th Avenue, Anastasios Tsinkelis, 39, allegedly broke the window of a Volkswagen and pulled a GPS device out, according to a criminal complaint filed by the DA’s office.
Tsinkelis was detained by two FBI agents nearby, who found a screwdriver in his pants pocket and the GPS in his jacket, the DA’s office said. Tsinkelis was charged with possession of burglar’s tools, criminal mischief, theft and possession of stolen property, the DA’s office said.
He was arraigned Friday and held in lieu of $1,000 bail, the DA’s office said.
