A Jolly Surprise

Scores of children received a nice Christmas surprise as police officers from the 110th Precinct stopped by the Dominico-American Society in Corona on Monday, December 21, with bags full of presents. The officers, who arrived around 5 p.m. while the children did their homework, told them that Santa had brought the gifts over to the precinct, and they offered to help the fellow out. The children and Yanna Henriquez, program coordinator for the society, thanked Officers Garlan and Rivera – the Precinct’s Community Affairs Officers – for making their day a special one.
