LAURELTON — A Laurelton man was arraigned Dec. 18 on charges of fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny in connection with an Aug. 29 theft from vehicle, the Queens District Attorney said.
Lawrence Desantis, 44, allegedly broke the front passenger window of Robert Gordon’s 2003 Nissan Maxima parked at the intersection of 225th Street and 141st Road in Laurelton and stole Gordon’s radio, speakers, amplifier and iPod from the car, according to the Queens district attorney.
A blood sample swabbed from the rear bumper of the vehicle by an NYPD police officer was tested for DNA and it was a match to that obtained through an oral swab of Desantis, the DA said.
Desantis was scheduled to appear next in Queens Criminal Court Jan. 21.
