Queens goes to
Immigration
Rally in D.C.

City Councilmember and Immigration Committee Chair Daniel Dromm and Democratic Assemblymember candidate Francisco Moya partnered with the Dominico American Society to charter buses that provided Queens residents with free transportation to Washington D.C. for the recent “March for America” rally.

Tens of thousands participated on Sunday, March 21, pressing Congress and the President to pass comprehensive immigration reform to address the economic inequality faced by many immigrants, including safer working conditions and better wages, as well as protecting immigrants’ families from discrimination.

“We are a nation of immigrants, and that’s what has made this country strong,” Moya said. “It’s time for our leaders in Washington to stand up to anti-immigrant bigotry and pass the fair, comprehensive immigration reform needed to improve working conditions and help immigrant families achieve the American Dream. We will be tens of thousands strong, and our voices will be heard.”
