Reach for the STARS, at 8 Coleman Square in Howard Beach, was recently gutted and redone as part of Discovery Channel’s new series “Construction Intervention.”
Here are some before and after pictures of the 1,250-square-foot facility, which serves over 200 area families and stands for “Striving to Achieve and Reach Success.” It had survived flooding and the effects of a fire next door.
The retail value of the construction is between $200,000 and $300,000 – all of which was paid for by the network. Companies from all over the state also pitched in to help.
The “Construction Intervention” episode is set to air on May 25 at 10 p.m. on the Discovery Channel.
