Cops search for sexual assaulter of 12-yr-old

JAMAICA — Police were looking for a man they said tried to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl in southeast Queens earlier this week.

The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the 103rd Precinct, which covers Jamaica, Hollis Park Gardens, Hollis and Lakewood, Sept. 28 around 3:50 p.m., police said. The man followed the girl on the street, grabbed her arm, pulled her to the side of a building and tried to sexually assault her, according to investigators.

The girl screamed and the man fled on foot, police said.

Investigators released a sketch and a description of the man last night. He was described as a black man in his 40s and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build and a dark complexion, according to police.
