FLUSHING – A new Target store located at the southwest corner of Roosevelt Avenue and College Point Boulevard will celebrate its grand opening on Sunday, October 10. The store will feature an expanded grocery area that includes fresh and frozen food as well as packaged meat, baked goods and a variety of multicultural brands.
“At Target, we understand that Flushing is one of the most culturally diverse neighborhoods in the country and we want to make sure our products and services reflect the needs and wants of our guests in this community,” said Joe Marando, senior team leader for the Flushing Target store. “Our new addition to the Target New York family will strengthen our relationship with the Queens community and provide approximately 350 job opportunities for the area.”
As part of the grand opening celebration, the Flushing store will begin a local grant program, contribute to the United Way, donate food to Feeding America and product to the local Goodwill chapter, as well as encourage team members to volunteer their time to serve the needs of the community.
