They just got married, but Matthew Murakami may want to be careful to stay on his bride’s good side — or at least hope his prenuptial agreement is strong.
If not, the Flushing wife he married may just live up to her name, taking him down a trail that would only end in the poorhouse for Murakami.
His wife, an accomplished lawyer for Think Passenger, a Los Angeles technology company, has the appropriate moniker of Sue Yoo, though she does not engage in litigation, according to the Wall Street Journal, as she has known since her time at Duke University’s law school that her handle may be a problem.
The New York Times reported that the couple married Saturday at Riverside Church in Manhattan. Murakami, 33, is an electrical engineer at Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles with California roots, while Yoo, 32, hails from Flushing, where her parents own the popular Kum Gang San restaurant, which boasts locations in her old stomping ground and in Manhattan.
