Van Bramer shoots hoops with teams

Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer joined Sunnyside’s Saint Raphael’s and Woodside’s Corpus Christi youth basketball leagues to shoot some hoops with the youngsters during halftime at their winter games on Saturday, December 18. Van Bramer secured funding to both leagues this year, which has helped reduce registration fees and provide uniforms for the future NBA and WNBA all-stars. Both Saint Raphael and Corpus Christi basketball co-ed youth leagues are part of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) and ages range from seven to 13 years old. – Steve Mosco
