EAST ELMHURST — Alphonso Williams, of 24-20 98th St., was arraigned last week on charges of arson and reckless endangerment, the Queens district attorney’s office said.
According to the DA’s office, a resident called the police after midnight April 18 after being awakened by the sound of crashing glass and finding her front porch in flames.
The DA’s office said another witness spotted Williams throw a glass bottle at a home at 94-20 23rd Ave., but the bottle fell to the ground and burst into flames.
The same witness spotted one of two unapprehended males throw a brick through the building’s window, said the DA’s office.
