Queens parks getting no love in “America’s Favorite Park” contest

The hundreds of Queens parks cover thousands of acres throughout the borough – and they are getting no love in “America’s Favorite Park” contest.
Coca-Cola is holding its second annual America Is Your Park campaign. Part of the campaign includes choosing “America’s Favorite Park.” The top 10 vote getters feature parks from around the country, but none from Queens. Some Queens parks – including Forest Park – have zero votes. While others – like Alley Pond Park – have less than 10.

The winner receives a $100,000 recreation grant made possible by the Coca-Cola Live Positively initiative.
