Spiking the Hikes

We applaud the common sense and fiscal responsibility of Governors Andrew Cuomo of New York and Chris Christie of New Jersey for standing their ground and putting the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey board on notice that their proposed 50 percent toll hikes were not going to fly.
Together they instructed the PA to hold the hike to $1.50 this year and total of $4.50 stretched out over five years. And they also ordered an immediate audit of the agency.
